I've tried a few of the UK clays... from the 'Fimo Doll (puppenfimo) to Living Doll... and found many to be just horrid to work with, others brilliant but let you down when cured, and just the odd few that are FANTASTIC!!

Here's my run down on the clays I've tried....

Fimo Doll (puppenfimo).... I totally hated this clay, I found it very soft, and hard to work on... no soon had you added detail then you would smudge it out while working on another area.

Maybe if you leached it to ...

I was just wondering if anyone has had the chance to try the new Studio Range, by Sculpey..???

I'm just about to place a clay order and wanted to know whether it, would be worth trying a few blocks.!!
I'm assuming it's going to be, just like sculpey lll and premo.... but would be grateful for anyone's opinion.

Ozzle, Sculpey, prosculpt

I currently use a mix of :

Super Sculpey

Prosculpt

Artists Ozzle - This is an Australian made polymer clay and is extremely strong, it's a very hard clay and i recommend using a clay softener which ozzle also make.

I don't use prosculpt on it's own and only add it to the ozzle for the softness...it helps to soften the ozzle.

In my experience prosculpt can be very temperamental and cracks always occur in it, a lot of sculptors i know have said the same.

So if you don't mind a hard ...

I have to say, honestly, that out of all the clays I have tried, Prosculpt is one of my most favorite. I also adore FIMO Puppen and often make a little recipes of several clays to create different skin tones. When Prosculpt is fired properly it finishes beautifully and is super strong. I will also continue researching the different clays, Deb Wood has a fantastic blog on her website on experimenting with clay. I urge anyone to check it out :-) www.debwood.com

I have also noticed that when ...
